Funeral Service Details: Wednesday the 13th of June at St Joseph’s Church in Station St, Chelsea. Following will be a burial at Cheltenham Memorial Park.
It is with great sadness that Frankston YCW FNC advise the passing of one of the clubs long standing members.
Vinnie over many years was involved with both junior and senior clubs being one of the architects that today sees it to be the most successful club on the Peninsula.
Of his many involvements with the club he :
Served on the Junior committee and was prolific in recruiting others to be involved .
Coached junior teams and has been described as one of the best junior coaches of his time to the extent of being made Junior interleague coach .
Volunteered for the many roles on game day running the boundary or waving the flags in between the sticks or anything else he could do to help out .
As his 3 boys , James , Jacob and Matthew progressed into the senior ranks so did Vinnie , coaching the Colts and then team manager with the reserves .
He has been a constant support to all he was involved with always being a positive servant to the Club .
In recent times in spite of his illness Vinnie would still make an appearance at games when possible to the delight of all that knew him.
He will be sadly missed by not just his family and YCW but also many in the wider football community who knew him . Truly one of the great highly likeable characters who have been involved at YCW .
Our condolences go out to the Millman Family , we as a club are there to support you .
